Phil Dillard - Corporate Strategist

Phil Dillard is a strategy and operations professional with 16 years of experience in leadership, management, and execution. A Philadelphia native, now living in San Francisco, he spent nearly seven years on active duty with the U.S. Navy. He has spent the past 10 years developing his expertise in business strategy and operational execution. He has held positions, or completed consulting projects, in profit and loss management, business process analysis and design, value proposition clarification, best practice identification, collaboration and implementation, and realization of identified operational efficiencies and cost savings.

With three years’ experience in running profit and loss for a manufacturing company and six years’ experience as a management consultant, Phil has experience in multiple industries, is comfortable in diverse environments, and is poised amongst C-level executives and senior management. A proven leader with an entrepreneurial mindset focused on growth, he uses his talents in idea generation and motivation of individuals to push organizations to new heights. To manage organizations towards sustainable improvement, Phil successfully sets goals and develops policies, procedures, and programs to solve problems with measurable results.

During the past year, Phil has been leading research and analysis on trends in new media, social media, and social networking as a partner in the Networlding Partner Alliance. Additionally, he has explored the viability of different business models for delivery of online media.

Currently, he works as Director of Corporate Strategy for Charles Schwab, where he is in charge of developing cross enterprise growth and implementation strategies to help consumers and institutions meet their financial goals.

Phil holds a Bachelor of Science degree in General Science with a minor in Spanish from the United States Naval Academy. He went on to complete a Master of Business Administration degree in Finance and Strategic Management from the University of Chicago.

Phil is active in numerous charitable and philanthropic endeavors. A former Rotarian, he is a member of the Union League Club of Chicago, the American Legion, and the National Eagle Scout Association. He is a founding member and acting officer of the University Of Chicago Graduate School Of Business Black Alumni Club. Additionally, he has found time to support children’s charities that include the Variety Club, the Starlight Starbright Children’s Charity, and the Cabrini Connections mentoring program.
