Currently the retailer lacks the ability to determine in real-time how consumers shop within stores. Customer’s path inside the store is not tracked. Time spent by the customers in a particular aisle or in front of a particular product is not monitored. Retailers currently understand what consumers are buying, however what retail would like to know is what are consumers looking at and not purchasing.

Lygase SmartRetail application collects consumer behavior through outfitting each retail location with tags for carts and the appropriate sensor technology, and then our BI application analyzes, and reports these measures customized to their clients specific needs. The Smart Retail application analyzes total time spent by a customer within the store or in a specific aisle. The data collected over days and weeks provides the store management with significant information about the consumers shopping patterns.
